James Pericola founded Seward Square Group in 2009. Pericola has worked in Washington, D.C. at all levels of federal government, as a Presidential appointee, congressional staff member, private sector attorney and consultant. He has a comprehensive understanding of government and strong relationships based on 25 years of experience working with Capitol Hill, the White House, federal agencies, state governments, private sector stakeholders, and public organizations.
Pericola's area of practice has included COVID-19 testing/vaccine/access and equity, healthcare and the Affordable Care Act, retail, economic regulation, environmental protection, transportation and infrastructure, and political action. Additionally, he brings international experience, having previously served as the Washington counsel for Holcim, Inc., which has operations in 70 countries and where he traveled extensively. Prior to Holcim, Inc., Pericola worked at the international law firm, Dillon, Hall & Lungershausen LLC, with offices in Hong Kong, Stuttgart, and Washington, D.C., and handled all outside litigation for DamilerChrysler AG. He also worked in the British House of Commons for a Member of Parliament.
James Pericola holds a B.A. and J.D. from The Catholic University of America and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association.
